At 19, I left my warm childhood and stepped into a decade of homelessness—a winding path from Hawaii’s shores to California’s streets, through Oregon, Arizona, Florida, and Massachusetts. Those years taught me the weight of survival, where every day tests your spirit and leaves little room for dreams, although those years did start a passion within me.
I’ve felt the sting of unreliable support systems—services that promise help but often fall short. From dodging danger to scraping by, I learned resilience and a deep empathy for those still out there. Now, I'm driven to change that landscape, starting small although dreaming big - helping to build a network of pathways out of poverty, encouraging a stronger atmosphere of real, lasting support across the nation. Throughout this journey, I maintained my integrity, never succumbing to drugs beyond a brief experimentation in high school, and abstaining from even a single drop of alcohol for over seven years—a vow I intend to keep forever. My father's struggles with alcohol instilled in me despise for the stuff. I greatly pride myself on my immense good morals, striving to be one of the near sin-free people there could be, as I believe that the less sin you have in your life, the more true goodness can manifest.
“Years of wondering why help was so scarce turned into a quiet plea for action. I want a world where compassion lifts up the weary, where everyone has a safe place to land.”
